The “Meteorology” announces the locations of the expected rainfall from Tuesday to Thursday

The Meteorological Authority announced the meteorological phenomena and places of expected rainfall during the period between Tuesday, December 15 and Thursday, December 17, 2020:

On Tuesday, December 15, 2020:

Medium to heavy rains: in areas of the northern coasts (Alexandria – Matrouh – Salloum – Rashid – Baltim).

Moderate rain: in areas of (Damietta – Port Said).

Light to moderate rainfall: in areas of Lower Egypt and the Canal cities (Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – Gharbia – Eastern – Menoufia – Ismailia – Suez).
Chance of light rain at night (approx. 20%): In areas of Greater Cairo.

Lively wind and sand activity: in areas of the northern coasts, Sinai, Lower Egypt, Cairo, canal cities and the south of the country, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility.

Wednesday, December 16, 2020:

Medium to heavy rains: in areas of the northern coasts (Rashid – Baltim – Damietta – Port Said – Al-Arish – Rafah).

Moderate rain: in areas of the western coasts, Lower Egypt, the canal cities and central Sinai (Alexandria – Matrouh – Kafr El Sheikh – Beheira – Dakahlia – East – West – Menoufia – Ismailia – Suez – Ras Sidr – Nakhl – Catherine).

Average rain: in areas of Greater Cairo.

Light rains: in northern areas of Upper Egypt (Fayum – Beni Suef – Minya).

Wind activity: in areas of the northern coasts.

Thursday, December 17, 2020:

Light to moderate rainfall: in some areas of the northeast coast (Damietta – Port Said – Al Arish – Rafah).
Light rain: in some areas of the northwest coast (Matrouh – Alexandria – Rashid – Baltim).

The meteorological release concluded with the need to take all the necessary preparations and measures to limit the effects of the rains, and the forecasts are updated daily.
