Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 60 of those infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, all Egyptians, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the World Health Organization guidelines, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 1236 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results turned from positive to negative for the Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 1,602 cases, including 1236 recuperators.
He added that 248 new cases that were positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, all Egyptians, were registered as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which point to the death of 20 new cases.
Mujahid said that all registered HIV positive cases in isolation and quarantine hospitals are subject to medical care, according to guidelines from the World Health Organization.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 4,782 cases, including 1,236 cases that have been cured and released from isolation and quarantine hospitals, and 337 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all provinces, follows the situation first hand with respect to the “emerging crown” virus and takes all necessary precautions against any virus or infectious disease, as the “105” hotline and “15335” have been assigned to receive inquiries from citizens about an emerging and infectious disease Corona virus.
