Saad confirmed during a telephone conversation with journalist Ahmed Moussa, host of the “On My Responsibility” program broadcast today by the Sada Al-Balad channel that the world organization is aware of the health situation in Egypt and praised the precautionary measures.
He indicated that the epidemiological situation will improve if the precautionary measures are followed, and it is also possible that the situation will develop, noting that the number of injured has doubled in two weeks to 911 cases today.
He noted that the new vaccine contributes to reducing symptoms, but will not prevent corona infection if precautionary measures are not followed, explaining that the vaccine reduces the burden of symptoms in chronic cases.
As for discussing a decision to ban curfews on New Year’s Eve, he said the Crisis Committee did not discuss anything regarding the ban decision before that, explaining that the committee will consider the matter early in the year. next week and will decide to take action on curfew.
He noted that the aeronautical tourism sectors are among the sectors most affected by the Coronavirus: “We expected that the epidemiological situation would improve by the end of 2020, but this did not happen, especially since we are currently facing a second strain of Corona.”
He added that the Council of Ministers approved a series of proposals to support the tourism sector.
He denied having discussed measures on schools and universities during the cabinet meeting, and stressed that the situation in schools is very good.
