The Media Center of the Council of Ministers denied what was reported about the postponement of the start date of studies in schools in anticipation of the second wave of the Corona virus.

The Media Center of the Council of Ministers stated – in the report clarifying the facts issued today – that it had contacted the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, which denied the news, confirming that it is not correct to postpone the date of beginning of studies in schools, and clarified that the study will begin on the specified dates according to the announced schedule. Advance, scheduled to begin October 17.

He indicated that the study system during the new academic year will depend on the combination of education within the classroom and distance education, in line with the country’s plan to face the Corona virus.

In a related context, the first semester of the new 2020-2021 academic year begins on Saturday, October 17, 2020 and continues through February 5, 2021 (actual school days are 93 days), and the second semester begins on October 20, February 2021 and continues until June 17. 2021 (actual study period is 96 days), and first semester exams begin on Saturday, January 23, 2021, provided that second-semester exams for transfer classes and preparatory certificate begin on Saturday, May 15, 2021, while the technical diploma exams will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021. The high school exams will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
