Officials of the five-year committee of the Football Association, headed by Amr Al-Ganaini, sent an official letter to the International Football Association (FIFA) on the sanctions issued by the Olympic Committee against the counselor Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club , in relation to his suspension for 4 years, based on complaints filed against him by some federations and clubs, led by the Football Association. Officials of the Five-Year Committee also sent another letter to the African Football Confederation (CAF) sanctioning Mortada Mansour.
The Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee sent a letter to Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, informing him of the sanctions imposed against Mortada Mansour, President of the Zamalek Club, based on the investigations carried out by the Investigation Committee following the complaints presented by the Al-Ahly Club, the Football Association, the Handball Federation and Hany El Attal, Vice President of Zamalek. Abdullah George is a member of the board of directors of Zamalek and Mamdouh Abbas, former president of the Zamalek Club.
The Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee asked the Ministry of Youth and Sports to work on the application of sanctions in accordance with the text of article 84 of the Egyptian Constitution and the provisions of Sports Law No. 71 of 2017, which provides for the application of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the implementation of the law, the Olympic Charter and the regulations of the Olympic Committee, to implement the sanctions issued after the investigations carried out when raising the name Murtado. Mansour of the signatures approved by the banks and replacing them with the name of the Vice President of the Board of Directors and not receiving letters to the Zamalek Club with his signature and not in the case of the person mentioned or his capacity in any matter of the club’s affairs with the Ministry of Sports.
The Board of the Olympic Committee had issued sanctions against Murtaza Mansour that stipulated:
– First :
Mr. Mortada Ahmed Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Athletic Club, stopped practicing any sporting activity in Egypt for a period of four years (4 years) and was fined one hundred thousand Egyptian pounds only with the consequences of this, which are in particular the following:
A – Not accrediting their representation of the Zamalek Sports Club in front of others and the Judicial Power regarding the club.
B – Not to assume the presidency of any board or general assembly or of the board of directors of Zamalek Sports Club while the suspension lasts.
C – Without having their signature in any procedure or correspondence, or anything else, related to the Zamalek Club, especially financial matters or authorization thereof, and the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Zamalek Sports Club and the members of the Board Board of Directors must convene the first ordinary general assembly that includes a point for the elections of vacant positions, in particular. Seat of the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The decision will take effect from its date and all parties will be notified of the complaints that are the subject of the decision.
And that the central administrative authority and the competent administrative authority will be notified of this decision in order to implement their affairs.
Second:
Inform the Public Ministry of the facts contained in the investigations – which constitute a criminal offense – in order to comply with their affairs in this regard.
Third :
Inform the Supreme Council for Media Regulation to carry out its affairs regarding what is broadcast on the Zamalek satellite channel of words and phrases that constitute an offense to public decency in violation of the Media Letter of Honor .
