The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood condemned the video circulating on social media sites of children performing a charade inside a church to embody the story of the Libyan martyrs who were executed by ISIS terrorist elements in 2015, which aroused the dissatisfaction of all.
Dr. Sahar Al-Sunbati, Secretary General of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, strongly denounced this incident, noting that what was transmitted through this video was nothing more than an incitement to violence and damage to feelings of the children, where the children appeared performing a scene representing the execution of 21 Coptic Egyptians on one of the Libyan beaches of Sirte, which were committed by the terrorist organization ISIS in 2015, and the children appeared wearing orange clothes similar to the ones worn by the Libyan martyrs at the time of their execution with their hands tied behind their backs, and they walk in line regularly and behind each child is a person dressed in black similar to ISIS and holding in his hands daggers that resemble the They cut off the heads of the martyrs.
Al-Sunbati confirmed that the National Council for Children and Motherhood will take all necessary measures to protect children and provide the necessary support, noting that the incident has been reported to the Office of Child Protection of the Attorney General’s Office. Since this incident constitutes a violation of article 96 of the Egyptian Children’s Law in terms of exposing children to danger and psychological harm to children involved in this behavior and directing them to the practice of aggressive behavior and violence.
And he stressed that the city council will provide psychological support to children in exchange for the damage they have suffered and will spread the spirit of hatred in them.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of the Episcopate of Saint Mark, condemned the child representation of the murder of the Coptic martyrs of the fatherland in Libya, and told “Masrawy”: “I still do not know the source of this video , and in which church it was filmed … This is totally unacceptable And the matter must be held accountable. “
