Security sources revealed the names of the policemen who were killed while facing the attempted escape of 4 prisoners sentenced to death and on death row in Tora prison.
The sources said the martyrs were Colonel Amr Abdel Moneim, Major Mohamed Effat and a police officer, Abdul Majeed Mohamed.
A security source from the Ministry of the Interior had stated that 4 of those sentenced to death and those sentenced to death in Tora prison tried to escape from inside the prison on Wednesday morning, when the security forces confronted them, which which caused the death of two officers and a policeman, and the death of the four convicted persons.
The source confirmed that the convicted are: Mr. Atta Muhammad, Ammar Al-Shahat Muhammad Al-Sayed, Hassan Zakaria, Motamed Morsi and Madih Ramadan Hassan Ala Al-Din
The necessary legal measures have been taken.
