Jamal Mohamed Ali, head of the youth team’s mission in Tunisia, stated that they will study the team’s position to complete the North African Championship that qualifies for the Africa Championship final.

Regarding his position on the completion of the qualifiers, he said: “We will determine our position on playing the remaining matches after we return from the stadium to discuss the matter with all the officials in charge of the selection.”
He concluded: “We will present a private protest and our position is solid.”
The organizing committee of the North African Youth Championship decided to cancel the match between Egypt and Tunisia in the second round of the qualifying tournament for the African Youth Cup 2021 in Mauritania.
The North African Union Medical Committee declined to hold the match due to the Young Pharaohs’ incomplete roster due to a player’s infection with the emerging coronavirus, Covid 19.
The North African Union requires that the match list include 15 players (11 starters + 4 substitutes, including a goalkeeper).
