On Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Amiri Diwan announced the news of the death of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, after a long struggle with the disease, at the age of 91, and the official Kuwaiti television he cut off his broadcast and recited verses from the Holy Quran.

The relationship of the Emir of Kuwait with the people of art was good, and in the following lines we refer to that:

– In May 2019, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah made sure to personally visit the great Kuwaiti actress, Suad Abdullah, to check her health after suffering a broken foot after her fall.

– In September 2017, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah made sure to personally send a telegram to veteran Kuwaiti artist Ibrahim Muzal Al-Salal, after suffering a health problem and for this he was hospitalized.

– In August 2017, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was eager to mourn the late Kuwaiti artist Abdul-Hussain Abdul-Ridha, and said that his country had lost a flag in the field of Kuwaiti theater art, Gulf and Arab, and also ordered the provision of an Amiri plane to transport the body, where the artist died there, from London. Kuwait.

– In December 2016, Saudi artist Muhammad Abdo participated in a ceremony held at the Kuwait Opera House attended by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He addressed him, saying: “God willing, God willing, you have not changed, this is Muhammad his servant.”

– In October 2016, the artist Nawal Al-Kuwaiti posted, through her personal account on the “Instagram” website, a photo she collected with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during the opening of the Opera photo, saying: I was honored and my eyes met His Highness, our dear Emir, and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect them and our home.

About 5 years ago, specifically on December 18, 2015, the late Emir of Kuwait inaugurated the architectural masterpiece of the Jaber International Stadium, which has a capacity for 60,000 spectators, and the inauguration witnessed a varied concert, in which a group of local artists performed various Kuwaiti songs, as others were interested in. The attendees were from all Arab countries, and among them was the Emirati artist Ahlam, and although he had broken his right foot and used the crutch, during the ceremony, eager to congratulate herself on the late Emir of Kuwait, she went up to the hall of honor and kissed his hands twice and made sure to take a souvenir photo with him. From his own phone, addressing him: “You are the crown of our head.”

When the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, went through a health crisis recently before his departure, Ahlam wrote to him, via his Twitter account: “In the name of God be with you , my parents Sabah, our dear Sheikh and Taj Al-Ras, I have entrusted you to the Merciful, who does not waste his deposits. After announcing the deceased’s death, Ahlam wrote: “May Almighty God reward us in you, our Sheikh and our dear father, and Almighty God reward you, oh my people, people of Kuwait … Oh God, we commend you to Kuwait, so protect it … Oh God, who does not die, have mercy and forgiveness on whom His possession has disappeared in this world, and has changed it in Your Gardens, the Gardens of Bliss, oh Lord.

– In April 2014, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, honored a member of the Oud Fans Association, player Ziyad Al-Harbi, with the Medal of the Cooperation Council del Golfo in the field of musical creativity for the youth category, as part of a group of distinguished youth from the Gulf.

– In December 2012, the great Kuwaiti artist Saad Al-Farag donated the best actor award he received for his role in the film “Tora Bora” from the Cairo International Film Festival in its 53rd session, to Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people, considering the award he gave. He has an international jury which is a recognition of the universality of Kuwaiti art, which was achieved during the late Emir’s government.
