The great Egyptian media, Malak Ismail, passed away on Friday night, at the age of 85, from complications from the Corona virus.

The mainstream media, and after appealing to her son during a television program, had been transferred to a major hospital under the direction of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to treat her for Corona complications.

Sharif Bahaa, the son of the media, said that his mother and family had contracted the Coronavirus since February 7, adding that we started treatment from the first moment, so the tests came back negative on February 28, but her mother suffered respiratory failure despite her recovery from the virus, as well as suffering from kidney deficiencies.

It should be noted that King Ismail was from the first generation of Egyptian television, and continued his media career for more than 30 years, holding various positions until reaching the position of vice president of television, and was one of the first female broadcasters who took the camera out of television to the street to monitor social issues.

For its part, the Supreme Council for Media Regulation headed by journalist Karam Jaber lamented the deceased media.

The council confirmed that Egypt lost a great media figure and a symbol of the Egyptian and Arab media, adding that the deceased had many fingerprints on Egyptian television.
