Youssef Idris Ali (May 19, 1927 – August 1, 1991), was an Egyptian fiction writer, playwright, and novelist. He was born in 1927 in Al-Birum of Faqous Center, Egypt and died on August 1, 1991 at the age of 64. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine in 1947 and specialized in Psychiatry in 1951. He married Mrs. Rajaa Al -Rifai and had three children, Engineer Sameh, the late Bahaa and Mrs. Nesma.
