On Wednesday, a security guard was killed in the archaeological quarter of the Tammy Al-Amdid Center in Dakahlia.

Major General Raafat Abdel Baath, Dakahlia Security Director, received a notification from Major General Mustafa Kamal, Directorate Director of Investigations, of a distress signal from the Emergency Police Department, from the security guards of the archaeological area ” Tal al-Rub “, because his colleague drowned in an area of ​​moving sand on the archaeological hill, and they were unable to retrieve it.

Tammy Al-Amdid Investigations, Civil Protection Forces and ambulances moved and found the death of “Abdullah Muhammad”, a security guard in the archaeological zone and a resident of the Mash’at al-Salam village, affiliated with the Downtown department, inside a quicksand pit at the top of the hill.

Security sources confirmed to Al-Masry Al-Youm that upon examination, it was found that the guard had fallen into a sand pit, and when his companions tried to rescue him, he sank into the quicksand, and they were unable to save him.

His colleagues confirmed during investigations that while they were wandering to inspect the area as they used to protect it from antique thieves, their colleague fell into a hole and it turned out to be like moving sand, and they tried to catch him to save him, but he quickly sank, for what they called the district officials and the police.

The Civil Protection Forces managed to recover the body, and it was found that he was fully clothed and had his Miri gun, his mobile phone and all his personal belongings.

A report on the incident was published and the body was taken to the morgue of the Mansoura International Hospital, at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.
