The Nasr City District Court issued a ruling ordering the imprisonment of club player Al-Ahly Shady Radwan for one year and bail of one thousand pounds in the case of the wrongful murder of a woman named S.M at the pension in the Case No. 25912 of 2020.
The details of the incident date back to July 11, when club player Al-Ahly ran over the deceased woman in front of the Tiba Mall in Nasr City with his private car.
Shady Radwan fled the scene, but local people managed to catch him and go to the Nasr City First Police Station, and a report was opened and the statements of the club player Al-Ahly were taken.
The forensic report indicated that the deceased woman was trampled in the area of the hand and feet and a skull fracture and died upon arrival at Nasr City Hospital for one-day surgeries.
For his part, Safwat Sobeih, the cassation lawyer, told the heirs of the deceased in special statements to Sada al-Balad: The Al-Ahly player made his statements at the police station and mentioned in the folds of the report a reason that provokes human feelings, as he said that the one who ran him over with his car was an animal, not a woman.
He added: The family of the deceased lady adhered to all their rights and demanded civil law during the deliberation of the case in court.
He remarked that he would not leave the right of the late lady, adhering to the obligation to apply the law to the Al-Ahly club player, noting that no one is above the law.
He explained that the session was held in this regard at the Nasr City District Court and handed down a prison sentence against the club player Al-Ahly on October 7, with a sentence of one year in prison, a bail of a thousand pounds and a compensation of 3,000 and a pound as temporary compensation.
