Surprises in the formation of the Egyptian team against Togo in the African qualifiers

Hossam El-Badry, coach of the Egyptian soccer team, announced the formation of the Egyptian team, facing the team of Togo, in the third round of the African Nations Qualifiers to be played in Cameroon 2022.

The formation of the “Pharaohs” against Togo witnessed surprises, especially after the absence of Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool player and the Egyptian national team, due to his contagion with the Corona virus.

The formation of the Egyptian team was as follows:

Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shennawi.

Defense line: Ahmed Hegazy Mahmoud Hamdi “Al-Wansh”, Ahmed Abul-Fotouh and Muhammad Hani.

Defensive midfield: Amr Al-Soleya and Mohamed Al-Niny

Midfield: Abdullah Al-Saeed, Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) and Ahmed Sayed (Zizou).

Offensive line: Mustafa Muhammad.

The Egyptian soccer team will face their counterpart Togo today, Saturday 14 November, in the third round, in the qualifying rounds of the African Cup of Nations to be held in Cameroon 2022.

The Egyptian national team wears the basic “red, white and black” uniform, while the guests wear the yellow uniform.

The meeting between Egypt and Togo will be renewed on November 17, with the fourth round at Kege Stadium in Lomé, capital of Togo.

The Comoros national team leads Group G with 5 points, Kenya is second with three points, Egypt is third with two points and Togo finishes the group in fourth place with one point.
