Wahid Hamdi, the artist’s brother, Shahira, revealed the will of the late artist Mahmoud Yassin, who passed away on Wednesday after suffering from severe pneumonia that claimed his life at age 79.

Hamdi posted an old photo he collected with the late artist and commented on it, saying:
“This photo is about 30 years old. My son Ahmed and I got together. He was 7 months old and his father Mahmoud, as my brothers and I used to call him, because he became our older brother.
He added: Mahmoud Yassin married my sister Shahira 50 years ago perfectly and completely, as they were married a year and a half after my father’s death, specifically on October 22, 1970, and I was 18 at the time, so he was like a father and an older brother until his death yesterday.
And he continued: I bear witness that he was a father, brother and friend with his high morals with all of us. I will not forget his many situations. I attended many sessions with him as he recorded the Holy Quran in his distinctive voice, and he recommended that it be broadcast only after his death. On the way to paradise after millions of Egyptians and the Arab world asked for mercy and forgiveness.
Wahid Hamdi went on to say:
“There is a hadith on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, which means that if three people testify that this man is good, God accepts it well, why not with the millions who testified and They prayed for him, and we belong to God and to Him will we return? God is hated in you, dear.
Mahmoud Yassin’s funeral
Mahmoud Yassin’s funeral took place from the police mosque in the city of Sheikh Zayed, on Thursday, in the presence of his family and a large number of stars of the artistic community, among which Yusra, Hussein Fahmy, Mahmoud stand out. Hamida, Yasmine Abdel Aziz and her husband Ahmed Al-Awadi, Soheir Ramzi, Elham Shahean-Na-Sawak, Khaled Al and others.
