Spanish radio “RAC1” reported on Monday that Barcelona had reached a complete agreement with Uruguayan forward Luis Suárez to terminate his contract this summer.
He said Suarez canceled his contract with Barcelona by mutual agreement to move to Atlético de Madrid before the current summer transfer market closes.
Catalan radio indicated that Suárez renounced his financial contributions for the remaining season of his contract, which amounted to 14 million euros, to terminate the contract with Barcelona and leave for free.

Meanwhile, the Spanish daily “Mundo Deportivo” said that Atlético de Madrid had agreed with the 33-year-old forward to conclude a contract between the two parties for a period of two seasons.
The newspaper added that the executive president of Atlético, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, and coach Diego Simeone, support Suárez’s approval to move to the team.
And he pointed out that “there is an obstacle to joining him, and that is that Atlético need to get rid of Diego Costa to sign with Suárez.”
Suárez had undergone an Italian language test with the aim of obtaining Italian citizenship to move to Juventus, but according to press reports in recent hours, his transfer contract for Juventus has been interrupted.
