UEFA has met with its 55 members to discuss “possible dates” to complete the 2019-20 season, with the door open for special cases to end the season earlier.

All spherical activities were suspended for almost a month due to the “Covid-19” pandemic, universally known as the Corona virus.

UEFA had previously prioritized ending national leagues, with Champions League and European League matches postponed until August.

UEFA said in a statement: “The European Football Association met with the 55 member associations by video today and various options for completing the season were discussed.”

He added: “A variety of options have been introduced, from potential dates covering national teams and club matches.”

He continued: “There is a strong recommendation to end the local competitions for the league and the cup, but some special cases will be heard once the guidelines on participation in European competitions are drawn, in case of canceling the leagues.”

He concluded: “Decisions related to the aforementioned issues will be announced after the UEFA Executive Committee meeting on Thursday.”
