Ashraf Sobhi, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the inspection committee of Egyptian sports clubs and institutions, including the Zamalek Club, is nearing completion of its work.

Sobhi said in statements on the Sada Al-Balad channel that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will take all necessary legal measures after announcing the results of the inspection.

The Sports Minister said: “The Zamalek club inspection committee is about to finish its work. We will apply the law and regulations to all, and we are waiting for what will appear in the report.”

He continued: “When the committee is finished, we will take the necessary legal action after announcing the results. We seek to preserve all of our institutions and we will take the necessary legal action.”

He added: “We are charged with preserving all existing entities through quick alternative legal solutions. We are currently looking for a quiet firmness because we are a great mathematical system.”

He added: “Our goal is to see examples and role models. We want to show a good model for Egyptian sport, not the other way around. The natural place for any sports institution is the good in the media, not on the ministry page.”

He concluded: “The boards of directors bring elections to volunteering. Volunteering means that whoever does not fulfill the role for which he came, lets him go and public opinion chooses his replacement.”
