A source in Al-Ahly said that Mohamed El-Shennawi, the Red Team goalkeeper, is 100% ready to participate against Moroccan Wydad in the semifinals of the African Champions League, and confirmed that Ayman Ashraf and Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “ Kahraba ”are close to recovery.

El-Shenawy had complained of pain in the connective muscle during his participation in his team’s game against the Arab Contractors, which brought them together on the 31st day of the Egyptian We League Championship, which ended with the victory of the red team with a goal unanswered.

The source confirmed, in exclusive statements, to Laila Koura, that El-Shennawi is ready to mark Areen Al-Ahly in his next match against Moroccan Wydad, which is scheduled to take place on 17th October.

On Ayman Ashraf’s position, the source said that Al-Ahly’s left-back is close to a full recovery, noting that the remaining days before the match will witness a full recovery.

Ashraf had suffered from calf muscle fatigue during his participation in Enppi’s match, which Al-Ahly resolved by three with no response.

The player was also forced to leave the division during his participation in group training with the team last Saturday, missing his team’s match against Pyramids in round 33, which ended in a scoreless draw.

Regarding Mahmoud Kahraba’s position, the source confirmed that the player suffered pain in the posterior muscle during his participation in the Pyramids match, and had undergone rehabilitation sessions in recent days.

The source concluded, noting that Kahraba’s position has yet to be decided, and within the few hours before the match, the situation will finally be resolved.

It should be noted that the Al-Ahly delegation will head to Morocco today, Tuesday, in preparation for the match against Wydad on October 17 at the Mohammed V stadium, provided that the return match takes place on October 23.
