A source from the African Football Confederation said that the CAF is currently studying the attendance of the masses to the final of the African Champions League between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, adding that there is a wish on the part of the federation officials to serve the fans.
Zamalek had reserved the qualifying card for the Champions League final on Wednesday night, defeating the Moroccan Raja with a total score of 4-1, after Al-Ahly resolved the first qualifying card at the expense of the Moroccan Wydad with a total score of 5-1.
The source, who did not want to be identified, added in Laila Kora’s statements on Thursday: “We are studying the mass attendance at the final of the CAF Champions League, this is what is happening in the CAF in these moments ”.
He continued: “From my point of view, Al-Kaf is heading in this direction and wants the presence of the masses, but the number will be limited and perhaps very limited. Things are not yet clear on this.”
The grand finale is scheduled for November 27 at the Burj Al Arab Stadium, after it was scheduled for November 6 at the Cairo Stadium.
And the CAF decided to change the date of the final match after consulting with the Egyptian authorities, according to an official statement issued by the African Union in recent days.
This is the first time in history that Zamalek has faced Al-Ahly in the final of the African Champions League.
