Today Thursday, the General Committee for Elections to Parliament in the first electoral district of Kafr El Sheikh and Qaleen monitored the presentation of the journalist Ahmed Tantawi, an appeal against the numerical count for the counting of the votes of the second round announced, which revealed his defeat, and the victory of 3 other candidates to represent the district.

A judicial source said, in a statement to “Masrawy”, that Ahmed Tantawi, the candidate of the First Circuit, “Kafr El Sheikh – Qaleen” had filed an appeal.

According to the numerical counting of the votes for the second round of the elections to the House of Representatives, the first district, Kafr El Sheikh and Qaleen, Tantawi fell in the competition and obtained 53,529 votes, while his competitors, Mr. Abu Al -Yazid Syed Ahmed Shams Al-Din, obtained 73,795 votes, and on behalf of Abdul-Mohsen 63 thousand and Hamid Hegazy. And Yasser Munir Abdel-Gawad, 62,855 votes.

These figures come in accordance with the statistical number of committees, with confirmation that the National Electoral Authority has the inherent right to announce the final results of the 2020 House of Representatives elections.
