Neighbors added that some of them feared for themselves and their family and left the property, while the rest of the neighbors remained in their places because there were no alternative places for them.

Residents were surprised that the property had collapsed and concerned authorities were notified.

Police imposed a security cordon around the property to make way for the Civil Protection Forces and Ambulances to remove residents from under the rubble of the collapsed property.

A multi-story property on Shark Street, near Gamal Abdel Nasser Street, in Gesr El Suez, Cairo governorate, collapsed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
