The “Sky Italia” chain chose a list of the best deals that were carried out during the winter transfer period in the Italian league, and the list was attended by 27 players, including the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, current English player from Liverpool.
Salah was previously in the Italian league, when he completed his transfer to Verentina on loan in February 2015 from Chelsea, England.
The shortlist also saw Edgard Davids’ presence as the best deal made during the Mercato winter, when he completed his move from AC Milan to Juventus in December 1997.
Brazilian Ronaldo ranked fifth on the Sky list, moving from Real Madrid to Milan in January 2007.
Salah was in 21st place, and “Sky” said of him: “Salah was not at that time the one we know now. The Egyptian international reluctantly agreed to relinquish him after his role in the ranks of Chelsea, which he led at the time. Jose Mourinho”
He added: “Salah managed in 6 months to change Viola’s season, scoring 9 goals in 26 games, but he did not complete his career in Verentina and then he traveled to Rome and from there to Liverpool.”
