On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 322 people recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those who recover from the virus. to 134,960 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 611 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and procedures examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which point to the death of 59 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Sunday is 173,813 cases, including 134,960 cured cases and 9,994 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health “available on phones.
