The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Saturday that 573 people recovering from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, with which that the total of those who recover from the virus to 126,176 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 680 new cases were registered that tested positive in laboratory tests of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and Los Examination procedures carried out by the ministry in accordance with the World Health Organization guidelines, point to the death of 49 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Saturday is 161,143 cases, including 126,176 cured cases and 8,902 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health “available on phones.
