Books – Mahmoud Al-Saeed:
Today Wednesday, the Economic Court ruled the imprisonment of the two defendants, Sherifa Rifaat, better known as “Sherry Hanim”, and her daughter Zumoroda, accused of practicing prostitution for 6 years each, and a fine of 100,000 pounds, and placing them under 3 years of police surveillance.
The Prosecutor’s Office attributed to the two defendants the attack on family principles and values in Egyptian society, and their violation of the sanctity of private life, publishing them with the intention of distributing and displaying photographs and video clips offensive to public modesty, and their statement of a call that includes the temptation of prostitution and attracting attention, and the habit of one of them to engage in prostitution and incite the other and facilitate it. And its creation, management and use of computer accounts for the purpose of committing these crimes.
The Public Ministry saw the clips we saw on the aforementioned sites and questioned them, so one of them admitted that they had created a channel on one of the communication sites to profit from the publication of clips that had titles with sexual innuendo and profanity. To raise her audience ratings and thus profit from her, while the other recognized her habit of prostitution through social networks and exploit the fame she achieved through them.
When the Public Ministry examined cell phones, it found many sexual conversations and messages, and requested some cash transfers to engage in prostitution, and the Public Ministry also advised the accused to instruct the accused about the bank transfers she received through from one of the web sites on the network.
