After this bitter experience, adversity began to follow Magda Al-Khatib, where she was imprisoned in 1982 for a period of 8 months in the reserve prison awaiting trial for killing a citizen by mistake while driving her car in a state. intoxicated, as she was sentenced to one year in prison with a suspended sentence and a fine of up to 5,000 Egyptian pounds.
Three years later, specifically in 1985, she was arrested on drug addiction charges, where the court sentenced her to 5 years in prison, forcing her to leave Egypt and travel abroad until she became firm and returned again to implement the judicial sentence.
Lost love
If luck was on Magda Al-Khatib’s side in art, her heart remained miserable until her departure. All the marriages he contracted failed, the first of which was between one of the men of the revolution, “Mohamed Riyadh”, through the Alexandrian businessman Medhat Al-Hawari, interspersed with an unfinished love story with a manager. And she won the Best Actress Award – a second role at the Cairo Film Festival, for her role in the movie Apple, and the Best Actress Award from the Egypt National Theater Festival in 2006 for her role in the play “I Hate You”.
The last award was an award from the Cairo Radio and Television Festival in 2006, for a fictional short film entitled The Visit, which he was unable to attend.
The diseases of aging began to haunt Majida Al-Khatib’s body until she fell into a coma for two weeks, after contracting severe pneumonia, and her blood poisoning occurred due to deficiencies in the functions of the brain, liver and his kidneys, until his last breath passed that day in 2006.
