Shatta: The power of hope contributed to the postponement of the Zamalek meeting

Abdel Moneim Shatta, a former member of the technical committee of the African Football Confederation, criticized the current situation within the CAF in the face of news about the postponement of Zamalek and the Moroccan Raja in the African Champions League.

Shata said in a statement on Radio Misr on Wednesday: “The African Union must be decisive in any decision. The Huria Conakry team faced Pyramids with only 14 players.”

He added that “Raja has strength in Morocco and interventions have been made to delay the match. There is Faouzi Lakjaa (president of the Moroccan Football Federation) who has strong ties.”

He continued: “I think the match between Zamalek and Raja will be postponed, and Zamalek helped them with that after announcing that he appreciated the postponement, but there is no official decision on the postponement yet.”

He continued: “Kaf will not be able to postpone the match between Al-Ahly and Wydad at the present time. The postponement will be for the other match between Zamalek and Raja.”

Shatta ended his speech: “He is very upset with what is happening. Kaf faces many crises right now. The story has become complicated. It must be enough for him to make critical decisions and regain his credibility.”

And the Moroccan club Raja Casablanca suffered a severe blow this week from the increase in the number of infected by the Corona virus to 8 players, which caused the Moroccan Ministry of Health to reject the team’s trip to Egypt.

For its part, Zamalek’s response through its president, Mortada Mansour, was clear, and welcomed the postponement of the match due to the current conditions in the Moroccan team.

On the other hand, a source revealed to “Yallakora” that the match between Zamalek and Al-Raja, which was scheduled for next Saturday, will be postponed until the end of this month. (See details)

It should be noted that the first leg was decided by Zamalek with an unanswered goal, which came through the Moroccan international Ashraf Bencharki, in a match played last Sunday night at the “Mohammed V Sports Complex” stadium in Casablanca.
