Dr Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education, commented on the incident in which the Governor of Dakahlia fired a school principal for failing to implement procedures and said: “We are conducting an investigation.”
He pointed out that on November 15 an educational channel will be launched for secondary and primary levels from first to third grade, as well as the launch of an educational channel for technical education on the same day.
Shawky praised the cooperation of the Ministries of the Interior, Local Development and Health with the Ministry of Education to complete the school year, adding: “The educational process is progressing normally and we will change the plan in case of an emergency.”
He stressed that the closure decisions are related to the committee in charge of managing the Corona virus crisis, saying: “In the event of a crisis and closure, God forbid, we will be able to complete the study through the platforms.”
On the American diploma crisis, he said: “We did everything we could and volunteered to solve the crisis by taking an Egyptian exam in 3 weeks, and the ball is now in the coordination court.”
