Security sources responsible for the attack revealed surprises in the attack on Ayman Younis, general director of the Zamalek Football Committee, by unknown persons, last Friday.
Sources said the former star of Egypt’s national team and Zamalek refused to publish a report on the incident, saying: “One was an Arab passenger, who cut a brick and walked.”
Ayman Yunus denied that there was a dialogue between him and that person, “I don’t know anything about anything … because that’s why I don’t want to accuse anyone.”
Security sources confirmed that the police forces did not complete the investigation of the incident, because Ayman Yunus did not present an official report.
Social media users shared photos of the former Egyptian and Zamalek star showing the effects of the assault on him, which were abrasions to his arm and neck as a result of breaking the car’s windshield and falling on him.
Official security sources said that “Yunus” did not write an official report or inform the police.
Some fans of the Zamalek club attacked the temporary committee that runs the Zamalek club recently, especially after the statement referred to the club’s financial situation, and the presence of debts approaching one billion pounds, and the need for the team this week of just 60 million pounds.
