Dr Mohamed El-Nady, a member of the Scientific Committee to Combat Coronavirus, said that the number of coronavirus infections in Egypt is difficult to predict and that the infections are at least 10 times higher than the figures currently announced by the Ministry. of health.
During a telephone interview with the media, Lamees Al-Hadidi, the host of the “Last Word” program, which is shown on the “ON” screen, added: We are now in the harvest season of the Corona virus, and said that the virus it is scientifically in its current stage in the take-off stage, and this happened in Egypt from the beginning. December will continue throughout the months of January and February, due to low humidity and increased accumulations, neglecting precautionary measures.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 336 patients recovered from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and complete recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization. This brings the total of people who recover from the virus to 106,817 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 664 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to 29 new deaths.
