Journalist Ahmed Schubert revealed a crisis that Al-Ahly and Zamalek will face in the final of the African Champions League, scheduled for November 27, at the Burj Al Arab stadium in Alexandria.

Schubert said in radio statements: “Al-Ahly and Zamalek are facing a crisis in the final of the African Champions League, because the players will definitely leave the two clubs and the registration gate will be closed on November 11.”

And Schubert continued: “Will Al-Ahly and Zamalek compete in the Champions League final with the same existing group?

He continued: “It is impossible for CAF to change the final date of the African Champions League, which is scheduled for November 27, due to the international agenda.”

This is the first time in the history of the African Champions League competition, in which Al-Ahly will meet Zamalek in the final of the tournament.

Al-Ahly qualified for the African Champions League final after beating Wydad 5-1 roundtrip, while Zamalek rose after beating Raja 4-1 with the total of the two semi-final matches.

Al-Ahly is the most crowned CAF Champions League in history, with 8 titles, followed by Zamalek and Mazemi of the Congolese with 5 titles each.
