Sawiris: Acquire other clubs? We had enough

Businessman Naguib Sawiris revealed his position on the purchase of another club during the next period, after announcing the purchase of Club Egypt and its conversion to club Z recently.

Sawiris said in remarks on the “ON E” screen Saturday night: “No, we have no intention of buying another club. We are excited about Project Z.”

And he added: “Project Z aims to benefit youth, especially since we have international players, whether in football or tennis.”

He continued: “Project Z is a long-term investment, and my idea is to kill two birds with one stone through community development and also achieve the investment.”

Addressing businessman Naguib Sawiris to talk about the Al-Jazeera club crisis, he said: “For those who criticize opinion, they have to come up with an alternative idea. The Al-Jazeera club idea is very good.”

He continued: “It is very good to use the Al-Jazeera Club name in your project at the North Coast branch or in New Cairo.”

On his entry as an investor in the Al-Jazeera club, Sawiris replied: “I recently made a donation to the club. The matter was mistranslated. People hate me for doing good.”

For his part, Amr Jazzarin, president of the Al-Jazeera club, responded to the criticism he faced regarding his idea of ​​a proposal to establish the New Cairo and North Coast branches.

The president of the Al-Jazeera club said: “The matter will be presented to the general assembly next February. The aim is that I will not put my hand in my pocket to finance projects, especially since I am suffering from a financial crisis.”

He concluded: “It is possible that an extraordinary general assembly will be held for the members to discuss the project, but I want them to have time to think and that is why I decided to hold the general assembly in February.”
