Saudi Arabia suspends all passenger flights for a period of one week, renewable

An official source from the Saudi Interior Ministry stated that, based on what the Ministry of Health raised about the spread of a new mutated type of emerging corona virus (Covid-19) in several countries, and until the medical information is clarified on the nature of this virus and the desire to take urgent measures to protect health. Public for citizens and residents and ensuring their safety.
The Kingdom government has decided to take the following precautionary measures:

First: Suspend all international flights to travelers – except in exceptional cases – temporarily for a period of one week, extendable for another week, except for foreign flights that are currently in the territory of the Kingdom, so that they are allowed go out.

Second: suspend entry to the Kingdom through land and sea ports temporarily for a period of one week, which can be extended for another week.

Third: All people who returned from one of the European countries or from any country where the epidemic appeared, as determined by the Ministry of Health on 04/23/1442 AH corresponding to 12/8/2020 DC and on that date, must adhere to the following:

1 / Home isolation for a period of two weeks, from the date of their arrival in the Kingdom.

2 / Carry out an examination for the new Corona virus (Covid 19) during its isolation period, with an examination repeated every five days.

Fourth: All those who have returned or passed through a European country, or any country where the epidemic appeared, during the last three months, must take an examination to detect the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19).

The foregoing excludes the movement of goods, commodities, and supply chains from countries where the mutated virus did not appear, as determined by the Ministry of Health in coordination with the Ministry of Transport.

These procedures will be reviewed in light of developments related to the pandemic and what is received from the Ministry of Health.
