The Court of Appeals in Milan, Italy, sentenced Brazilian player Robinho to nine years in prison on charges of group sexual violence.

The former Real Madrid and Milan striker was convicted last year in December for his involvement in a gang rape that took place in Italy in 2013, and was convicted of the incident in 2017.

According to the judicial statement, the former “samba” player and his “accomplices” expressed “contempt for the victim who was brutally humiliated.”

Robinho and his friend were part of a group of six men accused of participating in the gang rape of a 22-year-old Albanian woman at a Milan nightclub.

Robinho has the right to appeal the ruling again within 45 days to the Supreme Court of Cassation, which is the highest court of appeal in Italy, and is considered the last resort for the Brazilian star.

Robinho’s last club was the Brazilian Santos, who terminated the 37-year-old’s contract, under pressure exerted on the team in the context of the Brazilian star’s accusation.

Robinho started his football career at Santos in 2002, signed for Real Madrid in 2005, then played for Manchester City from 2008 to 2010 and Milan for four years until 2014, and also played in China with Gwangju Evergrande, with Atlético Miner, Brazil. and Basak, Turkish Shahir.
