The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Wednesday, that 501 recoveries of the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which increases the total of those who have recovered from the virus to 145,418 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Undersecretary of Health and Population for Information and Awareness, and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 645 new cases were registered that were positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and Examination procedures carried out by the ministry in accordance with World Health Organization guidelines, which point to the death of 46 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Wednesday is 188,361, including 145,418 cured cases and 11,128 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry also assigned a series of media to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases, including hotline “105”, “15335” and WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health” .
