On Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 800 recovered from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 116,775 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 1,219 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 54 new cases.
The increase in the number of Corona infections occurs after 6 days of continuous decline.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Thursday is 146,809 cases, including 116,775 cases that have been cured and 8,029 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the governorates of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. , Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health” available on phones.
