African press reports confirmed that the Al-Ahly club had reached an agreement with the South African Sundowns to sign Gaston Sereno, the team’s player, during the current period.

According to South African reports, Al-Ahly reached an agreement with Sundowns to include the Uruguayan player in exchange for three million dollars.

Reports indicated that the contract period between Al-Ahly and Sereno will be for the next three seasons.

Sereno, who plays on the offensive side, either as a wide forward or as a stalker, is 29 years old and has shown great brilliance with the Sundowns in the CAF Champions League for the past two years.

Sereno played under the leadership of Pitso Musimane, Al-Ahly’s current coach for the past few years, when the South African was in charge of Sundowns’ technical department.

The South African Premier League was already launched several days ago, with teams playing two rounds in the new season.

The summer transfer period in South Africa will end on November 17, and the winter period will start from next February until its end.
