Banks re-apply commissions and fees on customer deposit and withdrawal transactions through other banks’ ATMs after approximately 10 days from now, after the expiration of the period specified by the Central Bank’s decision to exonerate of these rates for a period of 6 months.
Last March, the Central Bank of Egypt ordered banks to cancel all commissions and fees applied to withdrawals and deposits in Egyptian pound from ATMs for a period of 6 months, starting on March 15, as part of the precautionary measures taken by the Central Bank to reduce the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus.
