According to Spanish media reports, Real Madrid intend to put 8 of its players up for sale during the upcoming summer transfer period, in order to save money to close an important deal.
The newspaper “ABC” said that Real Madrid will be forced to sell a large number of its players before being able to conclude much next summer, with a future goal of ten years.
He explained that Real is planning to sign one of the two, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, the French Kylian Mbappé, or the top scorer of Borussia Dortmund, the Norwegian Erlen Haaland.
The newspaper pointed out that the real team needed 200 million euros to buy Haaland or Mbappé, but before finalizing any deal, the “merengue” would have to sell some of its players to contribute the required amount.
The report adds that the Real Madrid administration is considering putting 8 players up for sale next summer, namely Gareth Bale, Isco, Álvaro Odriozola, Mariano Díaz, Danny Ceballos, Borja Mayoral, Luca Jovic and Marcelo.
Mbappé, 22, does not want to stay several more years at Paris Saint-Germain, given his refusal to renew his contract, which expires next year, and his desire is to move to Real Madrid, where he can become the best player in the world.
As for Haaland, 20, who had previously sent several letters to Real Madrid managers indicating his desire to wear the “Merengue” jersey, he has a contract with Dortmund that runs until 2023.
Some reports claim that there is a penalty clause in his contract with Dortmund worth € 75 million, but it cannot be activated before the summer of 2022.
