Jamal Al Salami, coach of the Moroccan team Raja Casablanca, sent several warning messages to the Zamalek team before the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League competition.
Al-Salami said in radio statements via “MFM”, saying: “My team will lack physical preparation against Zamalek after being absent from group training for more than a week, but we will make up for it with fighting spirit.” .
He added: “Zamalek’s game will be difficult. I know the rival very well, who is considered one of the best teams on the continental level, and won many titles in recent times.
Al-Salami continued with his remarks: “My team lacks pace, unlike Zamalek, who finished the Egyptian League Championship in recent days, but the decisive African matches are not subject to logic.
He continued: “My team has a group of experienced players who can change the score at any point in the game.”
The Raja coach continued his talk on the second leg: “We will score against Zamalek and defeat them. I promise the Raja fans that we will play a historic match like the one in 2006, and we will return from Cairo qualifying, God willing.”
The Raja coach ended his talk on refereeing by saying: “I am asking enough to appoint a referee just before facing Zamalek. Today’s referee’s decisions in the first leg prevented us from achieving at least one draw.”
Raja suffered a defeat in the first leg, 1-0, with a goal that came through Moroccan international Ashraf Bencharki in a match played at the stadium of the Mohamed V Sports Complex.
Raja is scheduled to meet Zamalek next Wednesday at the “Cairo Stadium” as part of the second leg.
It should be noted that the match between Zamalek and Raja was scheduled for the 24th of the previous month, before “CAF” decided to postpone it due to the infection of (14 players) within the Moroccan team with the new Corona virus (Covid 19).
