Qatari press reports said today, Wednesday, that the Al-Duhail club has agreed to sign Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi, a player for the Zamalek team, for a period of three years.
According to the Qatari daily Al-Arab, a source close to Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi revealed that the Zamalek player had received an offer from the Al-Duhail club to obtain his services in the upcoming winter transfer period.
The source explained that the term of the contract will be three years, as the Qatari champion seeks to consolidate its ranks in preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup, which Qatar will host from February 1 to 11 of the same month.
The newspaper indicated that the indications point to the departure of the player and his failure to continue with Zamalek, despite the fact that there is an upcoming session between the officials of Sassi and White Castle regarding the renewal.
Sassi must receive her arrears before agreeing to a renewal with Zamalek, according to the Qatari newspaper.
Sassi’s next contract with Saudi Al-Nasr in the previous season is scheduled for the end of the current season, as he has the right to sign for any club from next January if he does not reach an agreement with his current club, the Zamalek.
The Qatari team, Al-Duhail, prepares for the Club World Cup by facing Auckland City of New Zealand, in a version that will see Al-Ahly participate as CAF Champions League champion.
