Hossam El-Zinaty, head of the Egyptian Football Association Competitions Committee, confirmed that the Premier League competition for the current season will end at the end of October.

The Competitions Committee had previously announced the schedule for the rest of the league matches up to round 33, leaving the final round announced.

Hosam Al-Zinati said in remarks on “On Time Sports 1”, “God was with the help of everyone who works in the football system. The situation is not easy, but everyone is trying.”

He continued: “The schedule we recently announced is final and unchanged. After the African Football Confederation announced the date for the African matches, there was no obstacle to announcing the rest of the schedule.”

“We have set a date for the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup for Al-Ahly and Zamalek, and a date for two quarter-final matches has also been announced, in line with the knockout of the matches of Al-Ahly and Zamalek, the rest of the dates will be announced. “

“After the two semi-finals of the African Champions League are finished, we will announce the date of the last round of the league. We want to work on the principle of equal opportunities,” he said.

And he highlighted: “God willing, the league will end at the end of October.”

He continued: “I do not follow what is happening on social media, but I was informed that there are some objections and that there are injustices in some clubs, and some false dates have been trusted. We knew that Al-Ahly would play on October 17, Zamalek on October 18 and Pyramids on October 20. “

“We dealt fairly with all clubs, before the new African Champions League dates, Zamalek would have played Al-Ahly and they all thought the same arrangement would happen after the amendment, but after they made sure that the dates were wrong, everyone felt that the date of the matches was not a problem. “

He concluded: “I communicate with all the clubs, and nobody objected, and I think a member of the Zamalek board of directors stated that there is no problem after knowing the new date of the Zamalek match in Africa.”
