The Moroccan team doctor Raja Casablanca, Mohamed El-Arsi, revealed that the Moroccan team will enter Sunday’s game against Zamalek, missing three of their players in the match that takes place in the first leg of the semifinals of the competition of the African Champions League.
The Moroccan national team doctor added, in statements on the Moroccan screen Al-Riyadiah, that the defensive trio Abdel-Jalil Djibira, Abdel-Rahim Shaker and Omar Boutayeb will be absent from Sunday’s match due to injury.
On the case of midfielder Sanad Al-Werfalli, he said: “There are doubts about the player’s participation or not. We will assess his condition and accordingly, the extent of his participation will be determined.”
He concluded: “The sure thing is that the second leg will witness the absence of 3 players, and I am sure that coach Jamal Al-Salami will find the appropriate solutions.”
Raja is scheduled to host his rival, Zamalek, next Sunday at the “Mohammed V” stadium in Casablanca, instead, the return leg will be played in Cairo on the 23rd of this month.
It should be noted that the second match of the semifinal round will be between Al-Ahly and the Moroccan Wydad Casablanca.
