Said Wahbi, official spokesman for the Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, said that the team captain, Badr Bannon, remains until now the player of the Moroccan league champion.
Remarks by a Raja club spokesperson reached the “Ontime Sports 1” screen in the early hours of Saturday morning, to confirm that Bannon is still a player in Raja.
He added: “So far Badr Bannon is a player in Raja, and there is still nothing official with Al-Ahly. Bannon has ambitions to appear in the final match against Al-Ahly.”
And Moroccan press reports revealed that there was an agreement between the Al-Ahly and Al-Rajaa administrations to obtain the services of Badr Bannon, the defender of the Casablanca team, after the end of the season.
A source previously revealed to “Yallakora” that Bannon will move to Al-Ahly after the end of the Moroccan team’s career in continental competition.
For his part, Jawad Al-Zayat, president of the Moroccan Club of Raja Casablanca, commented on the fate of Bannon, highlighting that the player’s departure was close on condition of obtaining an adequate financial offer.
Bannon is considered one of the main pillars of coach Jamal Al Salami, having appeared in 27 games this season, scoring three goals.
Bannon is preparing, during the current period, to appear with his team, Raja, against Zamalek, in a match scheduled for next Wednesday at the “Cairo Stadium”, in the second leg of the round of 16 of the African Champions League.
The first leg in Casablanca was decided by Zamalek in his favor with a goal by Moroccan Ashraf Bencharki, so El Obeid demanded at least a goalless draw, instead, Raja had no choice but to win by two goals.
It is worth noting that Al-Ahly solved the first card of the final match by beating Wydad Casablanca back and forth with a score of (1-5).
