Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairman of the Board of the Egypt Sovereign Fund, revealed the government’s plan to take care of the Tahrir complex after ownership of the building to the Egypt Sovereign Fund based on a presidential decision.
Al-Saeed confirmed, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the pavilion of the Ministry of Planning at the Ict exhibition in cairo, that the drawings of the Liberation Complex and the Earth have been completed, which refer to a multipurpose place that includes a commercial and another administrative, in addition to a series of hotel apartments.
He explained that the field studies of the Tahrir complex have been completed, the evaluations of some companies have been completed and will be released soon, and work is being done on the National Party field. The plan is to transform the Tahrir complex into a specially designed and multifunctional building that includes various cultural, hotel and commercial activities.
It is suggested that the building be vacated after the move to the new administrative capital, and that the building be one of the unexploited assets that the state seeks to develop over the next period.
