Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira, coach of the Brazilian Palmeiras team, said his goal is to play the Al-Ahly game through the Brazilian starters.

“We have the opportunity to show the style and culture of Brazilian football,” Ferreira said in remarks during the press conference for Palmeiras’ match against Al-Ahly.

He continued: “We will face a team that has more than one participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, but we want to finish the tournament in a better position and we will do our best to do so.”

And about what he knows about Al-Ahly, he replied: “Al-Ahly is a team that defends from midfield and wants to control the ball, but my team’s goal against Al-Ahly is the offensive method. “

He continued: “Al-Ahly’s style initiates the goalkeeper’s attack and attacks through depth. Against Bayern Munich, Al-Ahly played defensively and sometimes kept the ball.”

He concluded: “Our match against Al-Ahly will be tied.”

Palmeiras failed to reach the final match after losing to CONCACAF champion Tigres Unal of Mexico in the semifinals.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly lost the same role to Bayern Munich with two unanswered goals in a game played last Monday night.

Al-Ahly will face Brazilian Palmeiras tomorrow night, Thursday, in the match for third and fourth place.
