In a press release, Sharawi added that the most prominent advantages are saving energy, organizing working hours of public facilities, as well as giving local authorities an opportunity in neighborhoods, centers, cities, local units and cleaning companies to carry out the removal of debris and garbage from the streets and improve the level of cleaning in a way that gives it a new cultural and aesthetic appearance. The minister said that according to the first article of the ministerial decision, the opening hours of all stores and shopping centers except restaurants, cafes and bazaars organized by article Two of this decision will be daily from seven o’clock in the morning. morning and closed at eleven o’clock in the afternoon (summer) and ten at night (winter), provided that The schedule increases on Thursdays and Fridays, and on national holidays and official holidays, to close at twelve at night ( summer) and at eleven at night (winter).

Shaarawy added that according to Article Two, the opening hours of restaurants, cafes and bazaars, including those of shopping malls, are every day from five in the morning and close at one in the morning in summer. and at midnight in the winter, provided that the hours are increased during the winter period on Thursdays and Fridays and on public holidays and holidays. The official state closes at one in the morning, with the continuation of the take-out service, and the 24-hour (24-hour) home delivery service for restaurants and cafeterias in summer and winter.

The Minister of Local Development indicated that according to the Third Article of the Ministerial Resolution, the opening hours of all workshops and crafts within the residential block will be daily from eight in the morning and will close at seven in the afternoon (summer) and six in the afternoon (winter), except the workshops on the roads and gas stations, as well as the workshops. Associated with urgent services for the citizen and for which a decision is issued by the President of the Supreme Committee of Public Commerce Licenses, indicating that it is allowed to modify the opening and closing dates of workshops and craft workshops within the residential cluster if required. , by decision of the Minister of Local Development at the proposal of the competent minister or governor. Major General Mahmoud Shaarawy stated that, according to Article 4 of the Ministerial Resolution, the opening and closing dates of shops in the coastal and tourist governorates can be changed by a decision of the Chairman of the Supreme Committee on Public Shop Licensing based on the proposal of the competent governor or the head of the New Urban Communities Authority after its presentation to the Supreme Committee for Coordination and Licensing of Public Places. Shaarawy added that according to Article Five, grocery stores, supermarkets, bakeries and ovens are excluded from the dates mentioned in this decision, taking into account the night activities of some stores, such as fruit and vegetable stores, poultry stores. , wholesale markets and pharmacies.

The Minister of Local Development said that according to article VI of the Ministerial Resolution, the summer months will be according to what is established in this decision, starting from the last Friday of April of each year until the end of the last Thursday of September every year.
