Dakahlia – Rami Mahmoud:
The head of the National Electoral Authority, Councilor Lashin Ibrahim, announced the names of the candidates scheduled to contest the second round in the 2020 parliamentary elections in its second phase in the Dakahlia governorate.
“Lashin” confirmed that the circuit will be a second round between Badawi Abdel-Latif, Ahmed Al-Alfi, Abdel-Fattah Al-Bahrawi and Mahmoud Azab.
It should be noted that the candidate, Mortada Mansour, ran in the House of Representatives elections in the Mit Ghamr district of Dakahlia governorate and was unable to win a seat in the first round or run for the second round.
The head of the National Electoral Authority said that the second phase of the elections to the House of Representatives was carried out with total integrity and impartiality, amid follow-up by local and international civil society organizations.
“Lashin” added at a press conference to announce the results of the second phase of the elections to the House of Representatives, on Sunday, that the elections were in a competitive environment between independents and party affiliates.
The National Electoral Authority had received all the results of the general committees at the level of 13 provinces in which the elections were held in the second stage, and received several complaints from candidates regarding the voting and counting processes that were decided , as well as carefully checking the numerical count of each public committee and adding the votes of Egyptians abroad.
Elections were held in the second phase governorates: Cairo, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Sharkia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, South Sinai, on 7 and November 8 inside, and in case of returning to this phase, it will take place. The elections are held on December 5, 6 and 7 abroad and on December 7 and 8 indoors.
