The Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria Board of Directors agreed to accept the apology presented by Talaat Youssef for not continuing his duties as the team’s technical director, with Munir Aqeelah appointed as the team’s temporary coach until he hires a technical director.
Al-Ittihad said in an official statement Monday night that Talaat Youssef’s apology had been accepted for not continuing as the team’s technical director during an emergency council session after the end of the Al-Masry Al-Borsaidi match, which it ended with the defeat of Zaim Al-Thaghr (1-2).
The federation added: “During his conversation with the club president, Talaat Youssef praised the great support provided by the board of directors to the football team and the coaching staff during his tenure, adding that the many influential injuries and absences of some of the main Players of the team most of the second round matches add to the misfortune that accompanied the team during their matches. The latter is the one who settled his decision to apologize for continuing in his position ”.
He continued: “The club’s board thanked Talaat Youssef for his efforts since he assumed the technical direction of the team, in which he exerted his maximum effort as one of the loyal sons of the club, wishing him every success in his next steps.”
He continued: “The club’s board of directors authorized Muhammad Moslehi to negotiate and select the new technical director, and the club president decided to form a committee made up of the council members headed by him to determine the technical director and the auxiliary apparatus during the next stage “.
He explained: “The council decided to assign Munir Akila, the general coach, to lead the team, until the new technical director and auxiliary apparatus are announced.”
The union concluded its statement by saying: “The club’s board of directors decided to deduct 50 thousand pounds from all the players, due to the low level presented by the team in its last matches.”
It should be noted that Al-Ittihad of Alexandria has added 39 points in 32 games after not achieving any victory in the last ten games, taking its ranking to tenth place in the league table for the current 2019/2020 season, and leaving it with two matches against El Entag El Harby and Aswan.
